Respected Herbalist Helps Keep Fundraising Efforts Healthy

An Evening With Jan de Vries
Thursday 15th October 2009

The members of Cavandoragh Methodist Church are delighted to announce that Mr. Jan de Vries has agreed to give a visiting lecture in aid of our current renovation project. Jan is a well respected guest speaker throughout the world and has helped to develop natural medicine not only throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland but also in India, Canada, Australia, America and Scandinavia.

Although, he has a great desire to develop natural medicine as far as he can and aims to promote more natural living to people, he has also put a great deal of work into several projects which have brought alternative medicine and orthodox medicine together. Jan believes that a combination of these two differing methods of medicine, resulting in 'complementary' medicine, will be of tremendous benefit for many suffering from ill health. He was also greatly involved in working, within a supervisory capacity, along with the pharmaceutical company, Boots.

The guest lecture will be held in Newtownstewart 2000 Centre, Newtownstewart from 8pm on Thursday 15th October 2009.

Tickets will be available closer to the time but if you are interested in attending please email :
administrator@cavandoragh.org with your name and contact details and we will inform you closer to the time.

Church Auction Raises £1815

CHURCH AUCTION

Our most recent fundraising event, our annual church auction has raised an amazing £1815 towards our rennovation project.

Once again the local community and businesses pulled out the stops and supported our fundraising efforts with generators, heating oil, car washes and valets.

Thanks goes to everyone who donated home baking, plants, other auction lots and services.  Without the support of God and the whole community our small church of 16 families could never achieve so much.

Prayer Request

Jesus says, "Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)
