Rev. Geoff Hewitt and his wife Linda have just recently arrived on the circuit in early July.   They move from North Devon where Geoff and Linda have been ministering to a similar rural circuit for the last three years.  Previous to that they had been involved in Inner City Churches in Merseyside and Blackpool.

 

Geoff and Linda have been blessed with four children, Verity who is married and mum of Geoff and Linda’s only two grandchildren Matthew and Luke, lives in Yorkshire.  Claire lives in London, Christopher lives in Carlisle and Rebecca (the baby of the family) is currently studying politics in Edinburgh University.

 

Their most recent addition to the family is Harvey a cairn terrier and new guard dog in Castlederg Manse.

 

Before entering the ministry Geoff worked for British Telecom in Portadown and Belfast for 20 years (so he knows “it’s good to talk”).  Geoff is excited about his new posting and looks forward to the challenges God has in store for both Linda and he.  Geoff believes people are inherently the same the world over, made in the image of God with similar problems, worries and stresses irrespective of nationality or social background.  Through a relationship with Jesus Christ, Geoff believes everyone can know the peace of God and it is this peace that can truly help people the world over no matter what their problem or worry.(Romans 5v1)
