Cavandoragh Methodist Church was delighted to be asked to host the renewal of the wedding vows for the Rev. Dr. Leslie Long and her husband Don Wheeler. The Oklahoma couple saw Cavandoragh Methodist Church on the internet (http://www.cavandoragh.org) and decided that while they were in Ireland to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary they would like to renew their wedding vows in Cavandoragh Methodist Church.
Leslie is the Director Minister of the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry in the University of Central Oklahoma and Don works as an accountant for the State Government of Oklahoma.
The renewal of vows service was the first of its kind in Cavandoragh and was led by Rev. John Beacom. Many of the members of Cavandoragh attended the special service and laid on a light supper for the couple.
