Here is a map of the area around our church with the Roads marked coming from the main towns and villages.
Cavandoragh Church is on the 'Cavandarragh Road' (Please note the spelling difference)
COMING FROM OMAGH DIRECTION:
Leave Omagh on the main Derry Road and take the second left sign posted for Drumlegagh. Follow along this road for 6 or 7 miles until you come to a T junction pointing left for Castlederg and Drumlegagh. Take left and then the next right which is "Drumlegagh Church Road South" and sign post for Ardstraw.
Travel along this road and take the next left "Cavandarragh Road" We are about 1.5miles along the Cavandarragh Road, through a small cross roads on the left hand side.
COMING FROM CASTLEDERG DIRECTION:
Leaving Castlederg on the Strabane Road take the second road on your right sign post for Ardstraw and Crew Bridge. Take the next road on your right sign posted for Crew Bridge. Go over the bridge and into the small village of Crew Bridge. The road veres to the left and then up a hill. Leave the village along this road and take the first right. The next road on your left is the Cavandarragh Road. Take this road and the church is on your right hand side about 150yrds along.
COMING FROM STRABANE DIRECTION:
Leave the main Strabane to Omagh Road at Victoria Bridge (A few miles south of Sion Mills) by turning left and then right following signs for Castlederg. You will pass a small Day to Day shop on your left in Victoria Bridge and St. Eugene's Primary School. After you pass the school take the first road on your left. Sign post for Ardstraw. Follow this road into Ardstraw village and take left crossing the small narrow bridge. Once you cross the bridge take immediate right on to the Carnkenny road. Follow this road for 3 or 4 miles until you come to a cross roads which is sign post to the left for the Hunting Lodge Hotel. The Cavandarragh Road is on your right at this cross road. Take right and we are about 1.5miles along the Cavandarragh Road, through a small cross roads on the left hand side.
It is a really beautiful location looking out towards the Sperrin Mountains and overlooking the quiet Derg Valley. (Go to the Photo & Media Album to see photos and a movie clip of our church)
